Permanent Eyebrows

Eyebrows help frame the eyes and give the face their unique expression. Visible brows can also give a lift to the eyes, making the face more youthful in appearance.

This procedure is great for anyone who has partial, sparse, light colored or no brow hair. Eyebrows can be done powdery to add depth, or they can be done with a hair stroke method to make the final result look like a totally natural eyebrows. Raya works with shape of the individuals face and coloring to achieve what best suits the client’s face.

Just think! No more drawing your eyebrows on daily, worrying if they look right, or that they will rub or wash off during the day.

What to expect at your eyebrow appointment.

Please allow plenty of time, especially for your first appointment. You will need to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment for pre-numbing and filling out of paperwork. Please note it is always good to refer to the pre-procedure form and aftercare instructions to make sure you are in good health and that healing the procedure does not interfere with prior plans.

The first thing we will do is figure out is what color is appropriate for you. The color of your eyebrows does not always match the color of your hair. If we have not had a prior consult please wear your make up so that I can see what you like or what you are used to seeing on yourself. We will then draw the procedure on with an eyebrow pencil. Once we agree that the size and shape are correct we will begin the procedure.

The color of the procedure may seem darker and thicker right after the procedure is done, then when it is healed. Once the slight swelling is gone and the pigment has settled into the skin, it will be about 40% lighter then when it is first done. The machine I use is very quiet and looks like a pencil or pen. The first pass will be the most uncomfortable and topical numbing is used during the procedure to make the process as painless as possible. You will be a in a private medical room.

After the procedure you will be given written and verbal after care instructions. The actual procedure will take an hour to an hour and a half. The second appointment can be booked for no less the six weeks after the first appointment to ensure proper healing time. This appointment allows reviewing of the healed result to ensure the client does not want anything darkened or shape adjusted. Everything should be to your satisfaction, more can always be added.

Healing Instructions for Eyebrow Procedure

There will be slight swelling and transient redness in the area of the brow. Keeps brow only slightly moist using a Q-tip to apply hydrocortisone cream 2-3 times a day for 7 to 10 days. If slight crust appears on the pigmented surface, do not force removal by picking, scratching, or washing the area!! Do not be alarmed if some of the pigment comes off on the Q-tip when applying the hydrocortisone, this is excess pigment and/or dead skin coming off which is normal. The eyebrow is not considered healed until the crusting has fallen off. Do not use topical antibiotic ointment. Do not be alarmed by the fading after the first procedure. The final color cannot be judged until two weeks after the procedure.

Avoid Until Healed

-Soap, facial cleansers, and water on the pigmented area (wash around and away from it)
-Make-up, Retin A, Glycolic Acids, sunscreen on pigmented area
-Sun, tanning beds, and self-tanners
-Hot steamy showers (shower with back to avoid soap and shampoo, put thin layer of Vaseline on the area to repel water)
