As of June 5, 2020 tattoo shops in Maryland may open at 50% capacity and with protocols in place to help ensure the safety of the public and help stop the spread of this very contagious virus.
What this means for Talon Studio
Raya Yeary is the owner and sole tattooist at Talon Studio. She will be doing tattoos by appointment only, with no set hours for the time being.
Most appointments will be made in the late afternoon/early evening and one weekend day a week, scheduled in 1-3 hour time slots.
Without an increase in fees in more than 15 years, Raya has recently made changes to deposit and minimum policies, which compensate for the additional cleaning between clients and added cost of personal protective equipment necessary to protect clients and herself.
NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT
The non-refundable deposit is now $75, as always this is not an extra charge, it comes off the cost of the tattoo when you come for your appointment. It is only forfeited when there is a no show, less 24 hours notice, or if you come to your appointment sick. In this current climate it is especially important that the client be honest about their health and that they reschedule if they or someone in their household is sick.
SHOP MINIMUM
The shop minimum for a procedure is now $150. We apologize if this seems high it is reflective of an hour of Raya’s time which is the minimum time slot that will be booked. If you are interested in a small tattoo please keep this in mind, Raya would love to do this tattoo for you and so maybe group smaller tattoos together.
PERMANENT COSMETICS
It is with a heavy heart that Raya will not be taking Permanent Cosmetics appointments on the face (eyebrows, eyeliner, and lips) for the foreseeable future. The reason is that because of how contagious this virus is and how it is spread though particles from breathing, the risk is high to do face to face procedures even with additional personal protective equipment. This is Raya’s personal choice and everyones comfort level is different. If you have any questions you are still welcome to reach out.
